Influence or no influence
Hmm i havent blogged in a while...
Since at the moment, i have no ideas of my own on what to write. I might as well do a parallel blog post which is related to one of Sabeen's post.. And NOPE it aint stealin' nor copyin'.. it's complementin! And wasnt sabeen, my influence in the first place, to start writing in my blog which apparently i owned since 'ahem' OCTOBER 2005.. not 2006 .. but 2005!..
Anyway..
I currently work as a cashier/order-taker at this certain fast food restuarant..near my house..
Below are a few things or personalities that comes from customers, which i apparently hate!
1) "Lets come to the counter, then we'll decide what to order". Although we have a huge billboard which contains everything from price to combos etc. which is suppose to be SELF-READ. You would never miss this type of customer, who apparently feels it's a necessity for them to read the menu WITH YOU. (story-time?). Even though there is a huge line of 10 ppl or so waiting to make their order, you still have this type of customer who usually takes their sweet time in deciding what to order, without sympathizing for the customers behind them. My message to them... : Take a seat, ask for some free water (yup POPEYES do provide those! :O), relax, , read the menu at your own pace, ponder, make some phone calls.. then come to the counter to order!
2) "No worries, these people are paid to clean up after us". Then you have this type of customer, who apparently think that it's ok to leave their massive garbage-leftovers on the table. Although we have three HUGE garbage bins, color coded in BRIGHT visible colors, few metres away from the dining area, and not to mention less than a metre away from the exit, these customers are still massively lazy to dump their garbage into these bins.
I also work at this dollarstore. Now here is what I totally hate:
1) You have about 10-15 people waiting in a line. One customer comes up with like 30 pennies and a whole heap of change to make like 30 dollars. allll for I, the cashier to count. (yup good time to learn how to count!). I have no idea what's going through this customer's mind. I am sure the 10-15 customers behind him is 100% visible and maybe he thought that dollar stores also played the role of a bank. I have no idea if these people dont realize that COIN ROLLERS do exist and are really really really cheap to purchase.
2) Then you have those customers, who are able to read visible signs such as: "No exchange or refund, CASH ONLY!" Yet they still come up to the cashier and ask: "do you take debit cards?". No lady we dont. "how about credit cards?" NO LADY WE DONT! READ THE SIGN! "How about those other cashiers, do they take cards?" -no comment-
Then you have to repeat to them the EXACT same words that are written on the sign: "Cash only". It's like a whole 10 mins wasted in explaining the clearly written sign!
3) Then you have customers who would come up to the counter with for example 225ml GLASS cups and yet pretend they think those glasses are suppose to be 2 for $1.00. (NO JOKE, I've hand soo many of these customers). Then when you tell them: "No, these GLASSES are 1 for a $1.00", then they would say "ohhh noooo noo nooo its ok, we will leave them". They're acting as if $1.00 for those 225ML GLASSES ARE SOO DAMN EXPENSIVE...I wonder where the heck will they find a store that will sell those glasses 2 for a $1.00!! Please do let me know, my mum would be delighted to save a whole heap of money!
4) Nevertheless, then we come to the type of customers that PILE their huge carts up with all kinds of items from the store... then when they come to the cashier, they then decide on what items they want. In the end, they leave half of the stuff that was in their cart to begin with and noooo!! do they find the heart to go back n put those items back!.. So if they didnt want it in the first place.. why the heck did they put it in their cart and bring them allllllll the way to the cashier!!... (btw at the end of the day it's the employees (cashiers) who have to put all of the stuff that careless customers leave around, back to it's place. Which sometimes takes forever, all because of SLOPPY CUSTOMERS!)
