RAGE ON THE BUS!~
Ok this is how it goes...
Yesterday in the afternoon, I got onto a bus on my way to my last exam of the year.. Entered the bus surrounded by 'pin drop silence' Feelin' all fresh from my last night's 7 hour straight! Sleeep! - Alhamdulilah.. sweeeeet! ( yeah fyi..i think 'alhamdulilah' comes b4 'sweeeeeeeeet'). Then all of a sudden, the bus stops...n all you can hear is this HEAVVY metal sound of a child not more 3-4 years of age..cryin' non- stop. This women enters the bus, walks straight into the bus.. sits down with the non-stop cryin child and guess what? DOES NOTHING ABOUT THE NON-STOP CRYIN' CHILD! All she does is jus sit there with the child sittin on top or rather layin on her, cryin n yellin to the top of her lungs.
As seconds went by... my mind kept swayin back n forth almost drownin in unsecured thoughts ... Is this mother tryin to teach this toddler a lesson? What lesson exactly is she tryin to convey to this innocent child...how long more does this child have to cry n cry n loose all that precious tears...
Approximately 15 mins after.. this child kept on screaming to the top of her lungs, drownin herself in tears. This child sounded as if she was going to be torn apart by dehydration. Nevertheless, this mother kept her gaze straight to the window and jus sat there still as a statue. Other riders on the bus, kept gazin at her and the child.. everyone all havin identical thoughts... when will this mother ever COMFORT THIS CHILD .. jus like every child needs.
Meanwhile..my fresh n 'at ease' mind slightly felt a headache comin along...I kept thinkin to myself.. when will someone ever tell this lady to tend her child.. Then finally a very 'wise' gentlemen... and I quote him "Why dont u ****'ing take this child to that hospital" (the bus was about to pass by a hospital).. n he was right.. well.... not the swearin part 'right'.. but the other. I kept thinkin' that.. the more longer this lady let this child scream n cry to the top of her tiny lungs.. before you know it.. the tears that this child lost would result to the overall dehydration of this child!
Up until this mother got off the bus.. this child kept on crying and cryin'...... and screamin', drowning her innocent emotions in tears... The sound of this troubled child echoed like thunder into the hearts of every individual present in that bus that day.
I've heard many people say... dont always give your child what they want (because then they will become very naughty).. let them cry it out.. But then, as I pondered this thought to myself.. Some children at the age of 5 and below.. if you let them cry... THEY WILL CRY.. until you at least comfort them and show some love to them.
The reason? Well children at this age.. don't really have the sense and mind to know when they should stop cryin' They're too innocent to realize that if they continue to cry non-stop, they will eventually harm themselves by dehydration. Even if these toddlers feel the pain of dehydration, they will continue to cry until they receive comfort from no other than their mother. I think children above 5 years old, do come to realize that if they cry their precious tears out continuously, their body will start to ache, therefore eventually they will stop within a short period of time compared to toddlers......
..and in a nut shell that was my theory in detail!
